How to pitch

Submission form

NonProfit PRO welcomes contributed articles from nonprofit practitioners, consultants, thought leaders, and subject matter experts. Contributors should submit a pitch through the designated form before sending a full article; editors review pitches on a rolling basis and prefer ideas matching current editorial priorities that can be delivered on deadline. A strong pitch includes a working title, a concise 2-3 sentence summary, a clear description of who the article helps and why it matters now, a short author bio with relevant qualifications, and an expected turnaround date. Editorial themes include major gifts, board governance, nonprofit AI and technology, recurring giving, mid-level and planned giving, nonprofit leadership, digital fundraising, multichannel engagement, federal grant compliance, grant management, and donor retention and stewardship. Content must be original and exclusive to NonProfit PRO, educational rather than self-promotional, and nonprofit-specific rather than broad business advice. Drafts must be 750-1,000 words, sources should be cited especially for statistics, and images may be submitted only with rights and credits. New authors should provide a headshot and bio. AI may assist with brainstorming or research, but humans must verify facts and make final editorial decisions. Staff can also be contacted directly, including Editor-in-Chief Amanda Cole at [email available after sign-in].
