Methodology
How a listing gets here
The index is selective on purpose. Every published record has a recorded publisher source and a last-checked date. Source checks may be completed by an automated research agent.
The one rule
Before publication, the publisher source must show a real route for outside articles, and every listing carries the date that source was last checked. Checks can be performed by an automated research agent, which can make mistakes. A listing that has not been re-checked within 14 days is marked as due for review and stays visibly flagged until its source is checked again. A date is an observation, not a guarantee that the route still works today.
What the states mean
- Checked — the publisher page was opened and a contribution route and available terms were recorded on a stated date. The check may be automated. A contact form alone is not evidence of guest article acceptance.
- Unverified — the contribution route has not been confirmed or the source could not be reached. Shown as unverified; never guessed at.
- Due for re-check — past the 14-day window. Still listed, but flagged so you know the details may have moved.
- Excluded — the publisher refuses guest articles, only takes tips, or no valid article route could be confirmed. Kept in the excluded list for transparency.
What a reviewer records
- Submission route — the write-for-us page, article pitch form, editor email, or another publisher route.
- Link attribute — dofollow, nofollow, or UGC only when observed; otherwise marked not observed.
- Price — whether unpaid posts are accepted, whether sponsored posts are sold, and the stated cost.
- Guidelines — word count, originality rules, and link policy, as the site states them.
- Category and topics — what the publication actually covers.
- Metrics — shown only if a named source and measurement date are available.
What we do not do
- We do not publish ratings, testimonials, or invented numbers.
- We do not let a paid placement change a verification state. Paid listings are labelled, not ranked up.
- We do not list product-submission directories, PBNs, or bulk-link sellers.
- We do not hide editorial guidance or measured metrics behind the login. Only recorded contact details are gated.
Metrics are observations, not guarantees
Domain Rating and traffic fields are empty until a named provider and measurement date are recorded. They are not estimated from a publisher's size or reputation.
Why contact details need an account
Editor addresses are the one scarce thing here. Requiring a free account keeps automated harvesters from scraping the whole set in an afternoon, and it means we can tell a publisher who is reading. No card, no trial, no paywall — and everything else on the record stays public.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong — the editor changed, the price moved, the site stopped accepting posts — email [email protected] or use the submission form. The publisher source can be re-opened and the record updated with a new check date. Automated checks are identified as such in the review note when recorded.
